Lore24 Apr 1: Sakar-Nim, fifth of Five
Sakar-Nim is the youngest and ostensibly the least powerful of the Five Sorcerers of Satnak. He is a tall but lank man who is periodically overcome by a rattling cough that can only barely be kept away by a special tea brewed from exotic herbs. He dresses modestly and in the traditional bronze elven style.
He is the last remaining rival of Narmor-Amon, and positions himself as the defender of the progressive values that Satnak rallied under during the Uprising. Although publicly he denounces Narmor-Amon’s view that political power in Satnak need to be consolidated in the hands of a single powerful individual, many fear that if Sakar-Nim were to be the only remaining sorcerer who was part of the Five, he would take absolute control just as readily as his rival.
Sakar-Nim comes from a line of petty nobility, and can trace his family tree back before the founding of Satnak. One of his ancestors is said to be one of the sky cattle. His magic is that of the wind, flight, and sandstorms. Those that know him since childhood assert that he has a chip on his shoulder about his family being unable to rise to any sort of significant position under the previous Sorcerer-King, and speculate that he joined the Five during the Uprising to reach the metaphorical heights he feels he and his family deserve.
