2025 Jun 1: The Crown of Ei-Lantis

 The land of Ei-Lantis is protected by many enchantments. They have been weaved over hundreds of years, by many Sorcerer-Kings, priests, and other masters of the divine arts. However there is one item that, that is so interwoven with the magic of the land, that its wearer can control all these spells, and through them, assume almost direct control over much of the land itself. This artifact is of course the Royal Crown of Ei-Lantis, bestowed upon its Sorcerer-King.

The Crown itself is a strange design: a steel circlet, with golden spikes jutting upwards from it, decorated with coral and pearls. It emits a subtle bluish green glow that always illuminates the wearer. It also makes the wearer's eyes glow menacingly, if they wish.

Besides its use as a sort of control panel for the kingdom's defensive spells, the Crown also has a few enchantments on its own, that are independent of the land of Ei-Lantis, and work outside of it. The first is that it grants the wearer a sort of echolocation ability, allowing them to see in total darkness, or dirty water. The wearer can also sense the mood and easily read the emotions of anyone they gaze upon. Lastly the Crown will always keep the wearer slightly moist, protecting against skin dehydration, if the wearer is Ei-Lantean, and leading to all kinds of health hazards if they aren't.

2025 Mar 31: Old Man Death

  Old Man Death is the colloquial name of an huge and ancient dragon that lives near the eastern side of the mines of Caeledor . While the old beast is quite temperamental, he has been known to on occasion help the locals in exchange for vast amounts of gold and iron. This help comes usually in the form of him sniffing around for new tin deposits (he boasts that his nose can smell all sorts of metals, and judging by the fact that he can tell the grade and purity of metals offered to him without even looking), but he sometimes lets humans use his fire for melting metal. On at least one occasion he even used his gigantic claws to dig around for tin, but that came at such a gigantic price, that no.one has attempted to ask such a thing from him ever again.  Of course dealing with a dragon is never easy, but especially one as old and bad-tempered as Old Man Death. The Pale things are wretched creatures. Once humanoid, now their bodies are warped to animalistic, new forms. Some start to look like insects, some transform into something closer to a reptile, or even something unlike any other being. They stalk the forgotten places of the world, preying on the lost and foolish who happen upon them. They drain their victims of their blood, their white flesh flushing gem-like with red.
